About

OKC.  A Film Blog.  May 6.  2010.

U-Out is an Oklahoma City-based film blog devoted to looking at mainstream and independent film.  You like movies.  I like movies.  It works.

Published weekly, in addition to its new reviews and critique of mainstream and independent film, the website’s While You Were Out section explores queer cinema’s vault, from the days of Edison to “Milk.”

Start a conversation.  Start a community.  All the cool kids are doing it.  Become a fan on Facebook.

A little

I’m a graduate student in screen studies at Oklahoma State University.  I’m an English instructor there, as well.  I wrote as a film critic for Hardnews Online, a gay online newsletter here in Oklahoma City, for six years and am a member of the Oklahoma Film Critics Circle.  I thought this would be a way to continue to promote film criticism in Oklahoma, particularly in our GLBT community as well as the larger Oklahoma film community.
